Iron Range Veterinary Clinic, with offices in Crosby and Aitkin, is a full service animal hospital and will take both emergency cases as well as regular appointments for medical, surgical, dental and other issues for dogs, cats and horses.

Dr. Julia Fry, Dr. Matt Stahl, Dr. Deb MacKay  and Dr. Stephanie Iverson – welcome you to the Iron Range Veterinary Clinic serving the Brainerd – Aitkin – Crosby – Emily region of north central Minnesota.

Dr. Julia Fry provides a full range of small animal veterinary preventative, medical and surgical services for cats and dogs.

She attended undergraduate school at North Dakota State University, and went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University in 2010. 

After she completed a year long internship in Cleveland, Ohio, she began practice with Iron Range Veterinary Clinic, and has been happily serving the community since.


Dr. Matt Stahl provides both small animal and equine veterinary services.

After completing his bachelor program at University of Nebraska, he attended veterinary school at Kansas State University.

He will travel within a 40 mile radius of the clinic location.


Dr. Deb MacKay provides a full range of small animal veterinary preventative, medical services for cats and dogs.

She graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1985. Practiced as a small animal veterinarian in Southern Illinois and Guam before moving to the Cuyuna Range area in 1991.

Dr. MacKay will be retiring from practice effective July 1, 2022. Dr’s Fry, Stahl, and Iverson will be happy to assume care to her patients.

Dr. Stephanie Iverson – provides both small animal and equine veterinary services.

She completed her degree and graduated in 2020 from Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine program in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Stephanie was anxious to get closer to home (in North Dakota) and serve small town communities in the Brainerd Lakes Area.


Dr. Kim Voller - Equine VeterinarianDr. Kim Voller – Dr. Voller is exclusively equine and has a strong interest in reproduction, neonatal care and anesthesia.

Dr. Voller has been involved in the local combined training/eventing scene for many years as a competitor and now as the organizer for the Trott Brook Horse Trials.

She and her husband, Dr. Kevin Voller, have three children, Brenna, Clayton, and Cole.



IRVC Clinic/Hospital Crosby Location: The IRVC is centrally located to serve this region and situated on State Hwy. 6 just three miles north from County Rd 11 – Hwy 6 junction. Open Monday – Friday 8am to 5:30pm.

IRVC Clinic location in Aitkin, MN is open two days per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00am to 4:00 pm.
